After having won on the previous day against the Marson team, Army need to win against the ARC/Piramal team to win the Southern Command Cup.

Army started off with a 1/2 goal handicap. Lt Col Jogi Shekhawat was quick to score and Army led 1.5 - 0 in the 1st chukkar. In the 2nd chukkar Army scored a good goal through a great back hander by Lt Col Atul Gupta. Jogi Shekhawat put in another goal for Army. At the end of the 2nd Army led 3.5 - 0. The 3rd chukkar was not any better for ARC/Piramal who had been unable to score in the previous two chukkars also. Lt Col NS Khera put in another goal for Army and they increased their lead 4.5 - 0 at the end of the 3rd. It was not a great day for ARC/Piramal. They were unable to open their account for most of the chukkar. With just about two minutes of play left ARC/Piramal got a 40 yard penalty and Vishal Singh made no mistake. there was great cheer from the crowd for ARC/Piramal's first goal of the game.

The game ended with Army defeating ARC/Piramal and lifting the Southern Command Cup due to their 2 wins. We must mention the great support provided by Capt Vishal Chauhan who impressed the crowd with his excellent stickwork and great play throughout the Mumbai polo season.
