Vishal Singh led Cavalry (Red) to win the Amity Polo Cup (8 goal) defeating Cavalry (Black) at the Jaipur Polo Ground, New Delhi. 

61 Cavalry (Red) emerged winners of the Amity Polo Cup (8 Goals) beating 61 Cavalry (Black) by 6-1/2 goals to 6 in the exciting finals played today at the Jaipur Polo Ground, New Delhi on the concluding day of the Delhi Fall Polo Season 2007. Hon'ble Vice President of India Shri Mohd Hamid Ansari and Dr Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, ACK Group of Companies and Chairman Amity Group gave away the prizes to the players. HH Tunku Iman Ibrahim awarded the Most Valuable Player and Canella, owned by HRH Capt Tunku Ismail Ibrahim adjudged the Best Polo Pony for the tournament.

The stand at the Jaipur Polo Ground was jam packed with huge crowd enjoying the match throughout the evening. Both teams from 61 Cavalry, combined well and displayed their skill work and horsemanship. Santiago Cernadas scored 3 goals for Cavalry (Black) in the 1st chukker whereas Vishal Singh converted 3 penalties during the 2nd chukker for Cavalry (Red) who started with 1/2 goal on handicap and took the team in lead but Col JS Virk scored a goal for Cavalry (Black) and made the score 4 to 3.5 at the half time in favour of Cavalry (Black). During 3rd chukker Cavalry (Red) could not score any goal while Santiago Cernadas converted a 40 yard penalty. The last chukker was ding dong battle and both teams tried their best to take the trophy home but Cavalry (Black) was able to score only one goal while Cavalry (Red) scored 3 goals and won the Amity Polo Cup 2007 on the concluding day of the Delhi Fall Polo Season 2007.

The first match of the day was played between Cavalry (Red) and Cavalry (White) in which Cavalry (Red) beat Cavalry (White) by 12 goals to 5. Both teams scored 2 goals each in the 1st chukker. During 2nd and 3rd chukker Cavalry (White) could not score any goal while Cavalry (Red) scored 7 goals. During the last chukker Cavalry (White) scored one goal who started with 2 goals on handicap whereas Cavalry (Red) scored 3 goals.

The last match of the day played between Cavalry (Black) and Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali in which Cavalry (Black) beat Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali by 8-1/2 goals to 3. Simran Sherigll scored 2 goals, Santiago Cernadas scored 3 goals, Maj Suarabh Saharan and Rajak scored one goal each for Cavalry (Black) they started with 1-1/2 goal on handicap. For Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali Dhruvpal Godara scored 2 goals and Gaurav Sahgal scored one goal.

The second league match of Pool B of the tournament played between 
Cavalry (Black) and APRC in which Cavalry (Black) beat APRC by 9 goals to 
2. Col JS Virk opened the account and Santiago Cernadas added one more goal 
in the 1st chukker for Cavalry (Black). During 2nd chukker HRH Tunku 
Ibrahim Ismail and Santiago Cernadas scored 2 goals each. Santiago Cernadas 
again scored one goal in 3rd chukker. For APRC Abhimanyu Pathak was the 
lone scorer who converted two 30 yard penalties during 2nd and 3rd chukker. 
The score was 7 to 2 in favour of Cavalry (Black). In the last chukker Col 
JS Virk and HRH Tunku Ibrahim Ismail scored one goal each to make the final 
score 9 to 2.

The second league match of Pool ‘A’ of the the tournament played between Cavalry (Red) and PBG in which Cavalry (Red) beat PBG by 5 goals to 3-1/2. HH Tunku Iman Ibrahim opened the account for Cavalry (Red) while Samir Suhag converting a 30 yard penalty into goal for PBG who started with ½ goal on handicap. Cavalry (Red) scored 2 goals each during 2nd and 3rd chukker whereas Col AA Mahmood, VSM scored a goal in the 2nd chukker for PBG. The score was 5 goals to 2-1/2 in favour or Cavalry (Red). In the last chukker Samir Suhag again converted a 40 yard penalty to reduce the margin 3-1/2 to 5.

The second league match of the tournament played between Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali in which Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali beat APRC by 7 goasl to 3. Both teams scored 2 goals each in the 1st chukker. Manupal Godara scored one goal for Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali. During 3rd and 4th chukker Sahgal Stud/Simbhoali scored 2 goals each while APRC could not score any goal in the 2nd and 3rd chukker but in the last chukker Maj JS Ahluwali scored a goal to reduced the margin.

The opening match of the tournament was played today at the Jaipur Polo Ground between Pool A teams PBG and Cavalry (White). Cavalry (White) beat PBG by 4 goals to 3. Samir Suhag opened the account for both teams. 1st chukker was goalless. During 2nd chukker Samir Suhag scored a goal in his own goal. In the 3rd chukker Samir Suhag converted 2 60 yard penalties into goals whereas Capt Vishal Chauhan and Baljinder Dhillon scored one goal each for Cavalry (White). The score was 3 to 2 in favour of Cavalry (White). In the 4th chukker both teams scored one goal each.
